highsnobiety - Obama Force One By Jimm Lasser
Yesterday artist Jimm Lasser opened his exhibition in New York, with Obama being the theme of the exhibition. The Obama Force One is one of the most interesting pieces exhibited. The Air Force 1 got a make-over by the artist with graphics engraved into the outer sole.
The left shoe reads “A Black Man Runs And A Nation Is Behing Him” and the right shoe features Barack Obama himself, who is also featured on the inner sole.
If you have the chance, make sure to check out the exhibition

We want Change and that is what Obama Nike Air Force One seems to be about, so vote for Obama! Good lookin to Fat Joe for his support of Obama‘s Nike Air Force One and his campaign.

Barack Obama’s Jordan Spizikes

Posted on February 12th, 2012

Of course Barack Obama would get laced with a fresh pair of kicks. Spike Lee saw to it that Mr. President was outfitted with a pair of Obama’s Jordan Spizikes courtesy of Michael Jordan himself, complete with a special wooden package that features the engrained Presidential seal and MJ’s number 23.

The sneakers are not one of a kind, though. They are the Bordeaux colorway, which will be available to most civilians, who don’t live in the White House, in February.

Air Jordan Spizike Bordeaux One Last Look

Coming your way tonight is the Presidential “Bordeaux” Air Jordan Spiz’ike.
Given the Obama seal of approval, this tribute to the Obama Air Jordan VII All-Star colorway features a grey upper with black, maroon, blue and yellow accents throughout.
Arguably the second-most anticipated kicks of the weekend, the neutral grey/varsity maize-dark shadow-varsity red-blue sapphire kicks will be available tomorrow at spots like Concepts and tonight at Midnight EST on Nike.com for $175.

You Are Blind. These Spizike’s Be Cray.

Posted on February 7th, 2012

Although 2012 just started, that is the quote of the year thus far, so it was only right that I used it as a title for this shoe. Spike Lee presented President Obama with a special Jordan package last week. When Spike announced the news via Twitter, one of his followers replied stating that the shoe is ugly. Spike Lee responded with a simple reply saying: “Lady, you are blind. These Spizike’s be cray.” Hilarious! If you agree with Mars Blackmon, you can scoop a pair when they hit stores. Release date is February 4. Retail is $175. Enjoy the official photos.

Virtual Mo x Nike iD Dunk Low “Mo-Bama”

Virtual Mo x Nike iD Dunks Mobama

A couple weeks ago we posted artist Virtual Mo‘s MøBama edition sneaker on Ryz Wear. What some of you may not know is the Virtual Mo’s Labyrinthine Projectionâ„¢ work has been in the marketplace before. Mo Morales aka Mø worked on the lasered  Obama Air Force 1 Mids from several years go and also caught the attention of Michael Jordan to do the lasered image of MJ’s face on the back of the Obama Air Jordan 20 Low.

Mø is a proud Obama supporter and chose Barack as the theme for this pair of Nike iD Dunk Lows that he worked up. The back heel features Obama’s birth year and the in and out side panels are laser etched with “HOPE” and “2008″. Lastly and unmistakably, Obama’s portrait is lasered onto the toebox of the Dunks in Labyrinthine Projectionâ„¢ form. Mø ordered the lasered Obama Nike iD Dunk Lows, but just the colors and year was not enough to satisfy. He then added lasering to the toe box and other pieces of the shoes himself.

I am sure Nike’s PR and legal team wants it to be well known that these are not endorsed by Nike, Inc., Barack Obama, or the Democratic National Committee…gotta love lawyers.

MYL Ticket: Vans Slip-ons Barack Obama “Steps of Progress”

Posted on February 4th, 2012

So Obama this Obama that. Nothing else was going on in the world the last few weeks for the news to report other than American parents not wanting him to give a speech to their school children and some Congressman shouting out that he is a liar during his health care speech to Congress. But these are maybe one of the best Barack Obama customs sneakers I’ve come across. Maybe it is the fact that the actual place of work of the President, The White House, is on the shoes. Ok enough Obama, enough looking back at 2008′s most made custom, I’ll try to get back to the custom of 2009: Michael Jackson.

Jordan Spiz’ike Pack For Barack Obama

Jordan Spizike Pack For Barack Obama

President is currently in Harlem, NY for a Big Apple visit where NYC-native Spike Lee presented the leader of the free world with the custom shoebox containing the Obama Jordan Spiz’ike. It features the presidential seal carved into a rich brown wood box, containing the Jordan Spiz’ike ‘Bordeaux’ (a February 2012 release). With his roots in Chicago, the president is certainly a Jordan fan, so it’ll only be a matter of time before Barack rocks these in one of his well-publicized White House pick-up games. Let us know if you think if this package is worthy of the President of the USA and stick with Sneaker News for more info and updates.
